STL Shock Matches to Air Locally on Matrix Midwest, Beginning April 27
The St. Louis Shock and Major League Pickleball (MLP presented by DoorDash) today announced a groundbreaking partnership with Matrix Midwest that will bring St. Louis Shock matches directly to St. Louis area viewers throughout the 2025 season.
This partnership, part of a broader initiative between MLP and Gray Media, marks the first time Shock matches will be available on a regional television network, providing unprecedented access for the team's growing fan base and signaling explosive growth and interest in MLP properties.
Local broadcasting adds to an upcoming Shock season that’s draped in hype for St. Louis fans. The Shock return the youngest and most talented player core in MLP featuring Anna Bright, Hayden Patriquin, Gabe Tardio, and Kate Fahey, and are unanimously regarded as a top team heading into the 2025 Major League Pickleball Season.
Upcoming St. Louis Shock Match Broadcast Schedule:
- Sunday, April 27, at 11 a.m. ET vs. D.C. Pickleball Team (MLP Orlando)
- Thursday, May 1, at 4 p.m. ET vs. Atlanta Bouncers (MLP Columbus presented by The James at Ohio State)
- Saturday, May 3, at 2 p.m. ET vs. Columbus Sliders (MLP Columbus presented by The James at Ohio State)
"This partnership with Matrix Midwest represents a significant milestone for the St. Louis Shock," said Andrew Haines, Chief Operating Officer of the St. Louis Shock. "We're thrilled to bring professional pickleball directly to our hometown fans and continue building on the incredible momentum we've seen in the St. Louis pickleball community."
The Shock will host MLP St. Louis at Chaifetz Arena July 17-20, set to be the biggest indoor professional pickleball event ever.. The broadcast partnership provides fans additional opportunities to follow the team throughout the season leading up to the hometown event.
"The growth of pickleball in St. Louis has been remarkable," added Haines. "Having our matches available on local television will further accelerate that growth and showcase the talent, youth, and energy of our Shock players to a much wider audience."
The 2025 MLP season features 10 regular season events, the Mid-Season Tournament, and two weeks of playoffs which will culminate in August, plus a standalone MLP Cup in November. Fans can also watch full event coverage and all MLP events on PickleballTV and the PickleballTV App.
