St. Louis Shock Make History, Capture First-Ever MLP Cup Championship

Caps off teams 2025 Regular Season Championship, and 24-1 Record

ST. LOUIS, MO – November 3, 2025 – The St. Louis Shock made Major League Pickleball history this weekend, capturing the inaugural MLP Cup Championship with a commanding 3-1 victory over the Dallas Flash at the MLP Cup Finals in Dallas, Texas.

The championship represents a remarkable redemption story for the Shock, who faced adversity earlier in the season. After falling short to Dallas in the Mid-Season tournament and suffering a semifinal loss at the Post-Season tournament in New York City, the team regrouped and delivered when it mattered most.

"This team showed incredible character all season," said Ross Chaifetz, Owner & General Manager of the St. Louis Shock. "We learned from our setbacks in the Mid-Season and Post-Season tournaments. To come back and win the MLP Cup against Dallas—in Dallas—makes this victory even sweeter."

The Shock dominated the MLP Cup tournament from start to finish, posting a perfect 4-0 record in pool play with an impressive +90 point differential. The team's championship run continued with a semifinal victory over the Brooklyn Pickleball Team before defeating the Dallas Flash in the championship match.

The St. Louis Shock entered the MLP Cup as the top seed, having defeated the Utah Black Diamonds, Las Vegas Night Owls, Orlando Squeeze, and New York Hustlers during round-robin play.

"The losses earlier this year fueled us," added Ross. "We used those experiences to get better, and when we had another chance at Dallas in the finals, we were ready. Winning the inaugural MLP Cup validates everything we've built in St. Louis."
