STL Shock Fall Short of Championship at MLP’s Advil Targeted Relief Mid-Season Tournament

St. Louis, MO — Major League Pickleball recently hosted its Advil Targeted Relief Mid-Season Tournament at the Beer City Open in Grand Rapids, Michigan from July 10th to the 14th. The St. Louis Shock entered the tournament as the #1 Seed, leading MLP Standings in the purified Points-Per-Match standings calculations. The Shock started strong but eventually fell in the Semifinals, coming up short of the Championship. This highly anticipated event featured thousands of daily fans and tens of thousands of viewers across ESPN2, Tennis Channel, Pickleball TV, and MLP’s YouTube Channel. Despite a back-and-forth battle, the D.C. Pickleball Team edged out the Shock with a final score of 3-2 with a singles DreamBreaker that featured multiple lead changes.

Texas Ranchers secured a 3-1 victory over the Shock in a series of intense matches.

The St. Louis Shock remain at the top of the regular season’ points-per-match standings and will continue in their quest for an MLP Championship in the upcoming event in Salt Lake City, UT, from July 25th to 28th.
